About Joan
Joan Nordhagen is a certified Usui Reiki Master and one of only a few exclusive Jikiden Reiki Shihan in South Florida. Joan earned her Shoden, Okuden and Shihan Kaku level training with Frank Arjava Petter, world renowned Reiki historian and author (with direct lineage) and her Shihan level with Tadao Yamaguchi, President of the Jikiden Reiki Institute of Japan (also with direct lineage). She is a facilitator of both Western and Eastern styles of Reiki but specializes in Jikiden Reiki. Joan also offers Shoden and Okuden level certified courses (Levels 1 and 2) and is authorized by the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Japan to train practitioners.

Joan’s intuitive Reiki sessions have gained the attention of both national and international clients. Joan began her Reiki journey in 2015 after a close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a year of Reiki sessions to supplement her medical treatments, Joan's friend was declared “Cancer-free.” Joan continued to personally use Reiki, but was prompted to expand her practice to include healing others when, during an Ayurvedic massage, the therapist touched her hand and exclaimed, “Oh! You’re a healer.”
Despite obtaining degrees and recognition in the fields of Psychology and Education, Joan has dedicated herself to art of healing. She is caring, empathic, and highly qualified to help with any physical and/or mental health concern. Joan has experience with cancer, depression, trauma, stress, anxiety, distant treatments (Enkaku Chiryo), children, expectant moms and animals.
Joan has worked with many people with diverse issues and possesses a true love for healing. She brings love and compassion to each of her sessions and has seen her clients transform and evolve. Her passion is to see clients heal and thrive.
